Dragonfly Gems is located at 36 Main St., Sperryville, VA, a gateway to the Shenandoah National Park.
Our current emphasis is about showcasing Gina’s original pieces, crafted in sterling silver and 14k gold. Using hand selected stones and beads in her own original style.
Additionally, we showcase a diverse selection of crystals and mineral specimens, spanning from cabinet-grade to delightful curiosities and more.
We will rotate the works of local artists, who express their creativity through a variety of mediums.
The Artist
Gina Irwin
Gina’s journey is one woven with the rich tapestry of Virginia. Raised in Warren County, she has been a resident of Rappahannock County for the past 16 years.
Her journey into the world of jewelry-making began as an apprentice to the renowned silversmith Steve Jacobson, in Winchester, Virginia. Over the span of eight years under his tutelage, Gina not only honed her craft but also gained the creative freedom to forge jewelry with a personal touch.
In 2005, Gina realized her dream when she opened Ridge Line Designs, a jewelry shop nestled in Front Royal. The allure of the River District in Sperryville led her relocation in 2015.
In September 2023 a new chapter began when Gina rebranded Ridge Line Designs into Dragonfly Gems. Her new shop resides on Main Street, where a captivating store showcases her creations, attracting both visitors and her loyal local clientele.
Gina’s craftsmanship transcends materials, as she expertly crafts pieces from sterling silver to 14k gold, adorning them with stones and beads in her signature sheet and wire style.
Throughout her career, Gina has cultivated a distinctive style, one intricately woven with the inspirations drawn from the landscapes of her cherished homeland.
